Dear Dogwood Clients,
During this recession, needs everywhere are greater than ever before. As the current president of The Gresham Rotary Club, I’m honored to be a part of an organization whose purpose is service to our community and to our world, with a focus on youth.
- We award scholarships to high school seniors going to college.
- We deliver Meals on Wheels.
- We helped develop, and annually clean up, YMCA’s Camp Collins, the track at Gradin Sports Park, plus a very little Gresham park.
- We donate many books and dictionaries to local elementary school children and school libraries.
- We adopt families in need, and ring the bell, at Christmas time.
- We award money to other local non-profits.
- We join other Rotary clubs to bring sanitation and water supply to villages in Bali; food-producing Morenga trees to a village in Mexico, and most notably our biggest project continues to be world-wide eradication of polio!
In order to support these deserving projects, we are holding a fundraiser dinner next week.
